Rather amusing article in the paper this morning, a very romantic and original guy has taken romance and his girlfriend’s love of soppy rom com’s (Romantic Comedy, for those not in the know) to the next leve. If you haven’t seen Love Actually, simple story of best friend in love with best friend’s new wife, Andrew Lincoln of Teachers and This Life fame is in love with Keira Knightley and can’t do anything about it obviously as she’s hitched to his best mate (what a dilemma). To fix this but at least tell her how he feels, he shows up on the door with a set of cards telling her exactly how he feels, very sweet, very mushy.

Dan Ferguson from Cardiff decided to do something rather similar but instead had T-Shirts printed with messages declaring his love for his girlfriend Caroline Thomas, and filmed himself wearing them one after the other, filmed the sequence and burned to a DVD, proceeded to watch it with her and at the end credits took off his jumper to reveal the last t-shirt which read “Will you marry me?”. AWWWW!

So as you can see, not only can we officially say that romance isn’t dead, that Welsh men do have big hearts, but most importantly (obviously for us!) there is yet ANOTHER use for T-shirts in our lives!
